Today I defended in a public ceremony my habilitation thesis entitled "A political-economic model of EU institutions and policy making" at the Faculty of Philosophy and Socio-Political Sciences of Universitatea Alexandru Ioan Cuza din Iasi. I used this opportunity to present the Jean Monnet module on Population and Human Capital Policy in the EU.
On the occasion of the UN Day celebrations organised by UN Youth Romania, I presented the Jean Monnet module on Population and Human Capital Policy in the EU and gave a lecture on 'The management of the EU refugee crisis from the perspective of the Harris-Todaro model' at a bookshop in Iasi.
On 8 September I presented a paper entitled 'Why do Spanish nerds not go on Erasmus? Uncertainty, grades and the adverse selection of Erasmus students' at the UACES 45th Annual Conference the took place at the University of Deusto in Bilbao (Spain) from 7 to 9 September 2015.
On 30 July 2015 I chaired a panel on EU budget reform at Universidade da Coruña's summer school on the future of the European Union 4: the aftermath of the crisis with two colleagues from Katowice and Lublin, Poland.
